This Blog is focused on my three passions: Italian Culture and Society, Philosophy (Including ethics, religious philosophy, philosophy of science, philosophy of time and identity, philosophy of art) and Music (Including but not limited to Physics of sound, tuning systems, musical composition, appreciation and analysis).
A forth topic has recently been added- Educational Practices and Service.
An example of some of the more original essays I have researched and written include:
-A new analysis of the writings of Giacomo Leopardi effected through a new set of tools for semantic and syntactic analysis based on Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit, with particular attention paid to the thesis by Judith Butler on the topic.
- A new approach to musical composition and musicology through comparative studies of quantum meccanics and quantum computations.
- Using ancient tuning systems and methods (tied to ancient societies and cosmologies) as an analysis tool for musical analysis, particularly of structure and form.
- Jeddu Krishnamurti and the nature of Inward Time
- From Newton to Einstein and Beyond; the nature of Outward Time
-The Semantic relationship between words and music
